Luxury at Asheville Cottages

If elegance and luxury are what you are looking for in a vacation rental cabin, you have come to the right place. Our romantic cabins are located within the city limits of Asheville, NC. Within each cabin, our desire is that you will be amazed at the attention to detail. We hired a phenomenal designer to completely design and arrange the cottages to meet your every desire, from the color of the paint to the weight of the silverware.

Bedrooms at Asheville Cottages

As Marshall and I contemplated some of the most important aspects of a vacation rental cottage, we drew from all of our experience as well as that of many others. Starting in the bedroom, the sheets are the softest sheets we have ever felt.  They are called "spa sheets" and are made by a company that makes sheets for the spa industry. Laying on them is nothing short of amazing. You will be sleeping on top grade, Select Comfort, Sleep Number, mattresses that allow you and your spouse to individually set the exact firmness of your side of the bed.  These are more comfortable than any we have ever slept on while on vacation. In all of our cabins, we have "music beds" that allow you to plug in your IPod or MP3 player while in bed to be surrounded by music while you sleep. In the main closet of each rental cabin, you will find two, high quality, soft, spa bath robes to be used at your pleasure.

Living Areas in the Asheville Cottages

In the living areas, each of our cabins in Asheville, NC has a fireplace and a large TV for relaxing or enjoying a romantic evening. If you want to listen to music, you have a choice of our CD/IPod dock or one of 100 music channels on Dish Network. You will have access to EVERY Satellite channel available from Dish Network, including all movie channels. Kitchens in the Asheville Cottages

Our desire to make the kitchens in our cabin rentals spectacular meant that we needed to stock them the way a chef would. The pots and pans, small appliances and silverware are all the type you would find in a fine restaurant. We also make sure you have all the extras like spices, foil, Zip-Lock bags and, hopefully, everything else you might need to make your dining experience in our cottages excellent.

Breakfast

With four children, Marshall and I don't always get to our vacation destination on time. Whether it’s in a hotel or a rental cabin, I know how difficult this can make it to have breakfast ready the following day. In our cabins in Asheville, NC, we have solved this problem for you. Not only will you find a kitchen stocked with gourmet supplies, we also provide you with breakfast items to take the worry out of your first morning in the cabin. Orange juice and cream will be waiting for you in the cabin refrigerator. In your breakfast basket, you will find a large variety of foods to eat in the mornings. Muffins, oatmeal, and breakfast bars are the main items in the basket. Of course, there is regular and decaf coffee. Marshall and I are tea drinkers so we make available several gourmet teas for you to choose from. For your morning dessert, we also provide the large pack of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

Asheville Cottages Hot Tub

No vacation rental cabin experience would be complete without a large hot tub to melt your sore muscles away. We choose hot tubs that are large enough to accommodate everyone in your rental cabin. You will enjoy this on our covered back deck so no matter what the weather is, it's always "hot tub time" at the Asheville Cottages. To me, there is nothing worse than a hot tub that is not clean. This is the reason that Marshall has such a stringent draining and refilling schedule for each cabin. To keep you warm when you get out of the hot tub, we provide two, spa quality bath robes in every cabin, just one more way to make your stay luxuriously romantic.

Grilling Out

Like grilling out? So do we. Each of our Asheville cabins has a large covered back deck with enough room for rockers, hot tub and, yes, a grill. Rain or shine, you can not only grill your dinner, but you can relax in the rockers while you wait.

CLEANLINESS!!!

We have found that one of the most important, if not THE most important aspects of a vacation rental cabin, hotel or anywhere else you stay, is the cleanliness of the place. I cannot stand to even see a spot of mold in a shower. When we go away on vacation, I have to have my bleach bottle just in case. There is no higher standard I have than to have an immaculately clean cottage. I personally oversee all the cleaning of the cabins and make sure that nothing is ever left unchecked. My goal is for you to think that you are staying in a brand new Asheville cabin each time you come and stay with us.
 
 

Location, Location, Location

One of the reasons we choose our location is for it's...location. The Biltmore House is only 7 miles from our rental cabins in Asheville. If you are driving into Downtown Asheville you are just 8 miles away. Want to drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway? You are only 2 miles from the entrance. If you enjoy outdoor activities like fishing, hiking or bike riding, our Asheville cabins are only 4 miles away from the Lake Powhatan Recreation Area at Bent Creek . If you want to enjoy some of the most diverse and beautiful plant life in North Carolina, you will only have to drive 2 miles to get to the 434 acre NC Arboretum . Asheville Cottages and The Biltmore Estate

The close proximity of our cabins to the entrance to the Biltmore Estate has made our cabins in Asheville, NC the favorite vacation rental cabin for guests visiting the Estate. When you visit the Biltmore Estate, you will be inspired by the relaxed elegance of George and Edith Vanderbilt's 250-room family home and country retreat in Asheville, NC. Discover original art from masters such as Renoir, magnificent 16th-century tapestries, Napoleon's chess set, a library with 10,000 volumes, a Banquet Hall with a 70-foot ceiling, 65 fireplaces, an indoor pool, bowling alley, and priceless antiques. Downtown Asheville

Downtown Asheville, North Carolina is a hotspot where locals, tourists, street musicians, and business owners converge. As the Asheville Cottages are only minutes from Downtown Asheville you will find that all the excitement is only a short drive away. Downtown Asheville hums with life as people stroll the streets shopping, dining at independent eateries and local breweries, and being entertained by the diverse mix of culture, music and art. With almost 200 retail shops, several museums and theaters, 30 galleries, 60 restaurants and coffee shops, and a dozen nightspots with live music most days of the week everyone is sure to find something to do. Hiking

Hiking trails in Asheville and the Western North Carolina range from easy to difficult, and take hikers past mountain vistas, nature scenes and waterfalls. You'll find the Asheville Cottages conveniently located to all the trails within the Lake Powhatan Recreation area/Bent Creek Forest (only 3 miles away). Hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is beautiful any time of year, is just a short drive away (2 miles). If you enjoy waterfalls, a 20 mile drive will take you to The Land of the Waterfalls (Transylvania County) with miles of hiking trails.

Biking

(Bear with me, I've never been mountain biking) Western North Carolina's mountains contain some of the best mountain biking to be found anywhere. Many of these trails can be found only minutes away from our cabin rentals in Asheville, NC. Gravel roads that wind along lazy streams or "singletrack" trails that climb steep mountainsides--all can be found within the boundaries of western North Carolina. Whatever you're looking for, be it a gentle cruise to a beautiful picnic spot, or a rugged climb and descent on a steep mountainside, Asheville cabins is a great base to experience it all.

Fishing

The closest fishing area to our Asheville, North Carolina cabins would be the Bent Creek campground at the French Broad River (2 miles away from the Ashville cabins). The French Broad River is full of many varieties of fish. If you enjoy trout fishing, you will love fishing in Bent Creek (4 miles away from our Ashville, NC cabins). This creek is stocked throughout the year by the NC Wildlife Department. Lake Powhatan (4 miles away from our cabins in Ashville, NC) is also stocked throughout the year if you are looking to do some pond fishing.

February 18, 2012 - I have been wanting to begin this for a while and it has been difficult to find the time. I finally decided it was now or never!  Lately, Marshall and I (and the kids) are busy getting our newest cottage ready for our Asheville Cottage guests. We have decided to share our home with you and make our six bedroom home available to rent. It really is the most tremendous place and even though we will miss living there, we are all delighted to share it with you. We are painting, and putting in new furniture and giving it the same attention that all of our cottages receive. We hope you are able to find some time off to come visit us at Asheville Cottages.
